Welcome to the Bridge Benefice

This is our new web site and it is still under construction.

Please keep coming back to see how we're getting on... there are plenty of pictures to browse through, which give a great flavour of our parishes.

Please also visit our prayer pages and pray for the sick and remember those whom we have lost.

Lambeth Conference - call for volunteers!

The Lambeth Conference 2008

July 16th to August 4th, 2008

Preparations are well in hand at the Anglican Consultative Council headquarters in London, at the University of Kent and in Canterbury Cathedral for next year's gathering of all the Bishops of our Anglican Communion and their spouses. More information about the Conference can be obtained from the Conference web site www.lambethconference.org Replies to the invitations to attend sent out by Archbishop Rowan are being received and collated. We are stepping up our own efforts to organise the essential contribution which this Diocese, the mother Diocese of the Communion, makes to the success of the event. We are travelling round the Diocese visiting Deanery Synods, sending round posters and prayer cards, encouraging articles in church magazines and of course, seeking prayerful support. Just as your parish church only functions through the voluntary help of many people in all kinds of ways, so this Conference relies on several hundred people stewarding in a variety of roles. Could you think seriously about whether you could be one of them?

If you would like to offer your time and skills, please complete the form, which has more detailed information. In due course we will respond to all the offers of help as and when our exact requirements become clearer. It is now possible to access a form on-line here.

This can be completed and returned on-line or printed off and the completed form sent by post. Please print off as required and make these forms widely available.

Speaking to those who have been involved before, over and over again we get a very positive response that it was so worthwhile. Will you be with us next year?
