Welcome to the Bridge Benefice
The Bridge Benefice covers five churches in the area: Bridge, Bekesbourne, Patrixbourne, Nackington and Lower Hardres.
The Vicar welcomes enquiries from anyone (even if they do not attend church) about Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals in any of the churches as well as Funerals to be held at the crematorium.
Please also visit our prayer pages and pray for the sick and remember those whom we have lost.
Benefice activities and groups (mostly based in Bridge) include:
Church Mice (0-5 yr olds plus parents or carers)
Church Mice is a monthly group that meets in St Peter's Bridge for 0-5 yr olds and their parents or carers. Play, Bible Story, Action Songs, Craft and tea and coffee for parents or carers. From 2pm-3pm on the 1st Tuesday of each month. Contact Curate Julia 830265 for more info.
PLEASE NOTE: There will be no Church Mice in June, due to the Jubliee Bank Holiday, but Church Mice will resume in July
Confirmation Classes
These run separately for adults and children (usually year 6 and up). Please contact the Vicar to find out when the next run of classes will take place. Usually there are 8 - 10 sessions held over a few months before the confirmation service itself. Confirmation classes are an opportunity to explore and discuss the Christian faith in a small group - a candidate may decide that they do not wish to be confirmed at the end of the classes, there is no obligation to be confirmed at the end if you do not wish to do so.
